Getting ready for the holidays.

This is my first season as a business for the holidays. I have no idea what to expect. But, I do know I will be as ready as I can. Don't be discouraged, people are still buying.  No, perhaps not large purchases like homes or cars, but if you offer what people want, they will still buy. I try to offer products in all price points.  By, doing more than just pet portraits on canvas,  I'm able to attract more business. The latest items are small clear glass ornaments with a Beach theme - I paint on the outside and add some sand and shells on the inside and offer them for $10.00 - These are one of a kind, and people will purchase items like this. I vowed not to scribble for a dribble, but I can still offer quality custom made art for people to collect at an affordable price. So, if your craft or art shop only deals with high end merchandise, perhaps offer some smaller items of good quality and see your sales increase this season.

I've been so busy preparing for a fundraiser event at Alaqua Animal Refuge on December 11th.

I'll be offering ornaments - paintings, and large scarves with a 10- 50% donation back from my sales to the Alaqua team.
I still think it is very important to give back. I love animals and people so I give  back to rescues and continue to have some fun give-a-ways on my Facebook page. Bringing a little cheer to the day to day lives of people is priceless to me.
