Today - I work on a bat for my daughter. I always start w/the eyes and face, then move on.
I am using very light washes to build up my values and shading. First I print off a color photo,
then a black in white photo, then I do a light sketch before I begin. This one will be a good exercise
for the fruit to get them to look round and dimensional.
after getting his face and eye - I started on the wing, w/very light washes
Hi Pam. I'm a x-pen/ink artist turned watercolorist and used to really specialize in wildlife. You're certainly on the right track in doing the eyes first 'cause if they're wrong, there's no use in continuing. Will enjoy watching this progress.
